Since 1989, I feel down and sorry on every 15th day of April. 16 years ago, I saw in the sofa and watched television broadcasting English FA Cup semi-final at Sheffield between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest. There was something strange happened just after 6 minutes of match start when policeman ran to the pitch to tell the referee something. Later, many fans rushed to the pitch to escape from the stand with horror in their faces. That was not violence but the stand was congested and overloaded with fans. At that time, there was fence between the stand the pitch to prevent violence of football fans. However that times the fence became the murder which ultimately killed 96 people. The time was 15th day of April 1989 3:06p.m. (Hong Kong time 10:06p.m.).
I saw the tragedy. I felt scared. Those were just Liverpool supporters watching a match, originally to be an exciting match between two great English teams of that decade. Over 250 000 Liverpool fans traveled down to Hillsborough but 96 of them never returned. They lost their lives. I was very sorry and depressed of such scene.
I never forget the scene and the fans same to me who loves Liverpool who lost their lives in the disaster, never. Today, 15th day of April, I would say ‘they’ll never be forgotten‘.
